FRONTLINE, one of the nation's most respected investigative documentary units, is seeking an Outreach Specialist to help us connect our films, our journalism, and our brand with new, engaged, and diverse audiences everywhere. At the heart of this work is helping the series raise its visibility and ensure its sustainability. 
We are seeking candidates who can work collaboratively with our Impact Producer to devise a creative engagement plan around our major journalistic initiatives with clearly defined objectives and measurable results. The top priority of the Outreach Specialist is to connect our content to appropriate partners, supporters, funders and audiences in real world settings. The Outreach Specialist will work closely and collaboratively with FRONTLINE’s audience team, devising and implementing live events where our documentaries and other innovative projects can be prominently featured and experienced. 
The Outreach Specialist will also work closely with, and report directly to, the series Impact Producer to conceive and plan cultivation events for prospective major donors to the series throughout the US. 
The ideal candidate must be organized, intuitive, detail-oriented, a creative thinker and a problem solver who can successfully collaborate with a wide variety of departments and personalities. Excellent written and oral skills a must, as is a strong initiative and ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines and achieve goals under pressure. We are especially interested in candidates who are both versed in and inspired by documentary production and distribution. 

-Foster and maintain new partnerships with key professional, journalism, and advocacy organizations to raise awareness of the series’ journalism and brand among policymakers, academics, funders, and influencers. 
-Devise and plan outreach events to showcase the series documentaries and special projects and to introduce FRONTLINE’s content to more diverse audiences across distribution platforms. 
-Work cooperatively with Impact Producer and WGBH’s Major Gifts team to conceive and plan cultivation events for prospective donors to the FRONTLINE Journalism Fund. 
-Provide written summaries and narratives as requested for funding proposal and reports, institutional memos, newsletter items, etc.


3+ years of experience in a communications or community outreach position, either within an organization or an agency. Solid experience developing and executing creative campaigns and live events.


Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR or related filed preferred.
