The NBCU Operations & Technology Division has an opportunity for a talented individual to join their dynamic Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Team assisting with compliance efforts at our facilities and operations around the globe. The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with local, federal, and state environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company standards.

The ideal candidate must have 7-10 years of experience in an EHS related field, strong work ethic, technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and excellent interpersonal skills and will be responsible for the following:
  • Oversee and continue to improve on-going EHS digitization efforts and rollouts of web-based tools utilized by the EHS team: Gensuite, Browz, EHS intranet, etc.
  • Own and manage the Corporate EHS Audit Program, leading internal audits on-site, as well as organizing and supporting 3rd party audits with businesses and facilities across NBCUniversal’s global portfolio
  • Provide timely EHS reports and statistics to management to include: KPI reports, leading and lagging indicators, relevant deviations from expected performance
  • Promote a culture of safety and raising safety awareness
  • Using tools to support the NBCU EHS Management Systems
  • Maintain expert knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, and consensus standards
  • Compile periodic reports as required by state/federal/local government and/or NBCU Corporate EHS
  • Create, develop, and maintain EHS course offerings in the company learning management system
  • Based on regulatory and business needs, develop in-person offerings of EHS training in accordance with State/Federal/local laws and NBCUniversal requirements
  • Provide technical/regulatory support to management: Benchmark studies, best practice reviews, trending, tracking emerging issues
  • Develop and maintain the inventory of Corporate EHS policies, procedures and templates
  • Work closely with Business Continuity & Crisis Management, Global Security, Human Resources, Engineering, Finance and other support functions across NBCUniversal
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, engineering or EHS-related field.
  • Excellent verbal, written skills and presentation skills are required. Must have working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Must be responsive and results and detail-oriented.

  • Experience managing individuals with training and digitization duties preferred.
  • Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and drive implementation of key EHS initiatives.
  • Extensive travel is required; may be up to 50% of time.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel and PowerPoint) and web applications strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience preferred.
