Advertising Sales Manager

Do you have experience working with travel-related titles or the travel sector?
We are currently seeking a SALES MANAGER for our San Francisco office for Where®, the world’s premier name in travel publishing.
Responsibilities include individual revenue generation and lightly supervising local media sellers in same office, as well as being the market contact for our client publisher for issue closings and other client needs. Experience selling print and digital solutions to local clients in the attraction, restaurant, retail, and entertainment categories is highly desired.
Ideally, you will have some experience with local media (print, newspaper, radio or cable). Experience working with travel-related titles and knowledge of the travel sector is a plus. Desired attributes are creativity, resourcefulness, independence, high sales call volume and very high energy, all of which are necessary to thrive in our quickly growing environment.
- 3+ years media sales management experience
- Experience working with travel-related titles and/or selling to accounts in the attraction, restaurant, retail, and entertainment categories
- Strong verbal/written and presentation skills
- Proven success in meeting goals and building new business
- Obvious creative streak
- Experience and facility with essential business software
