Sales & Business Development Assocaite

The Flex Hours Sales and Business Development Associate role is for a Sales professional who is looking for an opportunity to sell sponsorships and exhibits in a B2B sophisticated market.
The role is for someone who takes initiative to understand their clients’ needs and think strategically about making an appropriate well matched sale. This individual will be managing existing clients, as well as finding new opportunities to expand the events’ client base. This is an inside Sales position, so this person needs to be comfortable speaking on the phone and writing emails. Experience selling sponsorships and exhibits on conferences and/or an interest in Life Sciences are a plus, but not required.
The Role Requires:
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience in B2B Sales
- Solid proposal writing skills
- Strong research skills
- A take charge personality and team player
- The ability to work with different levels of seniority
- A minimum of three, full days in the office or five half-days (up to 25 hours per week total)
- Proficiency in Excel
The salary is $25 per hour and a sliding scale commission rate from 7-12% on closed sales. There are opportunities for bonuses and on-going training and support .
