ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Produce assigned newscast, ensuring continuity of KIRO News coverage by coordination with other show producers, the assignment desk, and web team.Keep newscast fresh and updated by working in developing stories and aggressively covering spot news as day progresses.Keep clear communication with editors, writers, field crews, graphics, web team, assignment desk and anchors.Coordinate live shots.Write strong copy for TV and web if necessary.Take show to booth.Call in remotes and give instructions to director.Have a good understanding of social media and incorporate it into the daily newscast. Qualifications:B.A. Degree in Journalism, Communications, or other field of study preferred2 or more years of newsroom experience required
