We're looking for a creative Preditor with a love of pop culture to develop and deliver stand out creative content and ideas in a breaking news setting. Must be comfortable developing ideas that work across all media; on air, digital, and social media. Reporting into the Sr Producer, Editorial as well as working closely with our Promo team, the role will be responsible for striving to continuously raise the creative bar through our shows promotional and editorial content.
From quick news updates for our live broadcast to marketing and promotional material for 3rd party vendors, this person will be able to work collaboratively in our workflow while having the skills to be self-sufficient technically. The position will transition from working closely with our post department and editors as familiarity with our systems and style is developed to focusing more on creative editorial over time.
Produce and edit original and engaging editorial pieces, promos, and short form content across all media, according to a timeline as assigned.Consult and develop projects with the Sr Producer throughout the broadcast production process as well as work closely with Promo Producers and Marketing team members when preparing content to outside vendors.Flexibility in role within the team and within the company, including working on marketing reels, Ad Sales spots and other Off-Air work as needed to support post, promo, and editorial team.Contribute towards building the brand identity.Make sure projects meet predetermined technical specs and deliverable needs.Oversee projects from conceptualization through the various stages of execution, to include: Research/ Writing/ Storyboarding/Producing/ Post and Voiceover direction.Diligent about production paperwork, music reporting and adhering to the On-Air working practices.Is aware of and open to the need to include input from local markets, were necessary.Able to pitch ideas to the team and stakeholders. Discuss and listen to feedback constructively and act on it.Offer a range of creative routes, where appropriate, as part of the creative development process.Engage as an enthusiastic team member, proactively sharing ideas and best practices.Creatively ambitious, willing to take risks and have fun.
Minimum 3 years of Avid editing experience and able to self-operate at high level.
Experience with Media Asset Management Systems, such as Media Central, and iNews or ENPS preferred.

Ability to write strong and distinctive copy.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines within a prescribed budget.
Diligent about production paperwork, music reporting and adhering to the communications department working practices.
Good interpersonal skills, both in contributing to the creative team, the overall On-Air team and in representing the department throughout the company.
