PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. The hours of this role will be varied depending on the department's needs.
• Edit digital content as part of a 24/7 sports news cycle, including monitoring wires, editing copy, writing headlines and selecting complementary content such as photos and video.
• Package and optimize content for the app and websites to maximize sharing, engagement and traffic from search
Strong news judgment and copy editing ability
Knowledge of social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
Minimum availability of 10-15 hours per week, including weekends and nights

Thorough knowledge of local & national sports
Strong organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines

Strong knowledge of unique social voice and the types of content consumed by social and app audiences in the target demographic
Ability to follow direction and work creatively under minimal supervision
