Cox Media Group Tulsa is seeking an
enterprising and energetic hard-news Reporter.
This Reporter will join an integrated newsroom that emphasizes breaking
news, daily investigative reporting and severe weather coverage. This reporter will report for Cox Media Group
Tulsa Television and radio stations.
Reporter must dig for extra information.
He or she must also be hungry to use new technology to present stories
and the journalists should be adept at using social media to gather and break
ideas and develop relationships with sources -
out to sources and fosters a relationship
extremely knowledgeable of all local and national news
original, local stories with impact
research guidelines when fertilizing ideas
& presents stories – 70%
with photojournalist to craft a story that includes real people
need to shoot & edit story
accurate, grammatically correct scripts
stories live as needed
the web – 10%
and updates stories for the web
station guidelines in using social media to promote stories
