Manager
 for a full-time position in Sacramento, CA.



The
Product Manager for Collateral Management Solutions (CMS) is responsible for
working with various solution groups, departments, development teams, product
readiness and other Product Managers to effectively communicate, document, and
execute on requirements in alignment with the Cox Automotive vision.



As
a Product Manager, you are a key member of the Cox product team and are
responsible for delivering customer value with each team sprint. You must
demonstrate experience managing a product lifecycle from inception through
implementation. The Product Manager will be responsible for delivering value to
the customer by defining & documenting client requirements, appropriately
managing priorities, and validating that customer expectations are met.





A successful candidate will be passionate about expanding our product vison, working
with internal and external stakeholders, and be comfortable leading a scrum
team.



Principle
Duties




Work closely and interact
directly with stakeholders (internal and external), users, developers, and
other business units to identify, interpret, and document business
requirements
Identify market opportunities
and evaluate the competitive landscape
Develop product roadmaps to
communicate the vision of the products to internal stakeholders
Create opportunity assessments
to gain buy-in, secure funding and communicate the product vision
Manage business stakeholder
communication of key information, decisions, status, and timelines
Conduct analysis that
identifies current state business process or system inadequacies
Responsible for day-to-day
product scrum responsibilities including writing, sizing, prioritizing
stories and attending team meetings
Construct and document user
stories and acceptance criteria that clearly articulate the need and the
business value according to our Cox Automotive Agile standards
Present ideas for process and
systems improvement recommendations that assist the business in achieving
its goals and objectives, while leveraging best practices and professional
experiences
Obtain and maintain a working
knowledge of CMS applications and customer needs, as well as other
business units within Cox Automotive
Communicate any impacts or
changes in project scope to team members and leadership
Work with team to proactively
identify work, communicate, and resolve project issues and risks that
interfere with project execution or success
Ensure appropriate product
documentation is produced
Collaborate closely with
development teams to ensure timely delivery of team deliverables
Manage individual work load and
assist with defining and prioritizing tasks
Define acceptance criteria for
development teams, and if needed, perform UAT activities to ensure
accuracy
Assist other Product Managers,
Agile Lead/Scrum Master, User Experience Designers, and Quality Analysts
as needed or required
Ability to work effectively on
multiple assignments, activities or projects
Assist in data analysis for
product launch material
Assist in
development/distribution of marketing materials around new
products/changes
Assist with training activities
for product launches
Desire to work in a fast-paced
environment where information must be readily digested and decisions made
expeditiously
Must have excellent critical
thinking skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to
problems.


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
required
5+ years of relevant experience within a software
development organization
Soft skills to quickly gain the confidence, trust and
support of internal clients and stakeholders
Excellent written, presentation, communication and
listening skills
Strong problem solving experience


 



Demonstrated success as a Product
Manager in product lifecycle management including:




Developing and launching new products or features
Developing opportunity assessments and/or business
cases
Developing concept and product definitions
Product monitoring and evaluation
Product optimization and extension


 



Preferred Experience in one or more
of the following areas:




SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
Automotive industry
Finance/Lending industry
