Responsibilities:Produce weather graphics for on-air talentAnalyze data from the National Weather Service, as well as, other meteorological sourcesDevelop innovative and creative ways of presenting the weather story, while maintaining accuracy and integrity of dataWork with the weather team and producers to create complete, compelling coverage of weather Give in-depth weather briefings to talentPrepare and post forecasts for multiple platformsCreate weather-related content for digital

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have at least five years of experience producing weather forecasts/graphics for broadcast
• Degree in meteorology
• Proficient in WSI TruVu MAX, experience with Vizrt a plus

Additional Job Requirements:
• Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through to be considered
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must submit a reel of own work to be considered
• Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice, if needed
• Ability to travel, as needed

Desired Characteristics:
• Experience with severe weather coverage: including, but not limited to, tornadoes, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, ice and snow events
• Ability to explain complex weather phenomena in a way that's easy for viewers to understand
• Passion to be a part of a major weather event, no matter when it happens
• Should thrive working under intense deadline pressure
• Technologically savvy with strong computer skills
