Mid-Level Public Relations Professional

newsPRos, a national public relations agency, is adding to its roster of public relations professionals. We primarily, but not exclusively, provide media relations services to the legal industry. All of our work is focused on issues, not on consumer products.

We are looking for a mid-level PR pro who is ready for the next step ---more independence, more client contact, and someone who wants to learn from a team of senior professionals. The Ideal candidate has 8-10 years of PR experience, preferably working in professional services firms (law firm or legal industry experience is ideal, but not critical). You must be comfortable working as part of a team, but also be able to work independently.

This position involves significant client contact including maintaining an office and working on premise in AmLaw 25 global law firm client’s office.

We are looking for someone who can

  • Develop and write pitches after talking with a client source
  • Stay on top of news in multiple industry sectors to take advantage of upcoming events and news
  • Create and maintain relationships with reporters
  • Research and build targeted media lists, quickly
  • Pitch reporters at top tier publications and persuade them to interview our clients
  • Maintain work flow and follow up on multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Draft written materials including press releases, talking points, media statements, nominations

This position is about pitching and getting results. We are a client service first firm. We have great clients and long-lasting relationships with them.

First choices of location are Chicago, Washington, DC or Houston, TX ….   Please send your resume via the link provided.
