Role Purpose
The Manager, Business Operations will be a critical member of the Direct-To-Consumer team managing the daily business operations of NBC Sports Gold. This will include analyzing data on the business and making actionable recommendations to improve performance as well as partnering with a wide variety of stakeholders including Programming, Production, Regional Sports Networks, Olympics, Product, Technology, Finance, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering innovative customer-focused digital products, constantly measuring progress, and engaging in continuous learning and improvement.

  • Plan, coordinate and implement key direct-to-consumer operations including renewals, customer support, payments & processing and piracy
  • Serve as Director’s key delegate across a broad variety of operational functions such as playing a lead role in providing Partner management support and services including preparing migration and delivery plans, coordinating and planning quarterly and regular group meetings as necessary to launch and maintain new and existing brands/sports properties
  • Develop processes and effective communications to integrate and coordinate new brands/sports verticals within NBC Sports Group functions/departments
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders on business initiatives to ensure alignment
  • Manage relationships, support and service requests with/for third party vendors, consultants and other service provider (including e-commerce/technology vendors)
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on subscription management tools and reporting to support business analysis, enhance reporting and inform decision-making
  • Coordinate internal and external data sources (e.g., Business Intelligence Dashboard reporting)
  • Track, report and provide performance insights on key performance indicators
  • Identify best practices and tools across NBCU and externally
  • Support development of strategic presentations, business updates and recaps for senior leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve and drive business operations to increase retention, trials, engagement, and subscription growth

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, digital media or technology

Additional Qualifications
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects, setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and serve as a well-respected, trusted partner
  • Understanding of media landscape including key players and trends
  • Must be highly organized and able to communicate clearly, verbally as well as in writing
  • Exceptional presentation skills
