Cox Automotive, is currently looking for a Manager, Product Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
Reporting to the Director, Product Management this individual provides strategy, leadership, planning, and partnership for the delivery of digital marketplace initiatives that support our upstream commercial sellers, delivering solutions that enable us to meet our clients “where they are” and “where they want to go”, with digital tools that quickly and easily solve their wholesale needs.
This role will support our vision of enabling sellers to confidently optimize and execute their vehicle portfolio disposition strategy via the provision of simple, seamless, and efficient management of inventory and access to product and services across channels.  The individual will lead the cross-functional delivery of a best-in-class seller remarketing experience by experimenting with new approaches, products, and services.   
The individual will be responsible for leading by influence and collaboration, to drive the end-to-end product lifecycle through vision, testing, development, launch, measurement, and ongoing enhancement.  He/she will represent the seller experience within the Inventory Solutions organization, in collaboration with the business, UX, and other Delivery Streams.  He/she will partner across Operations and Client Engagement to ensure there are robust launch and change management plans.
The role reports through the Cox Automotive Product Group, with primary support for Inventory Solutions and the Global Digital Marketplaces Delivery Stream
Your Role:Product Vision & Leadership
  • Collaborate with various customer-facing teams to understand client and company business needs, then support the evolution of the solution / vision for the Flex platform
  • Collaborate with Research and Market Intelligence to understand the competitive landscape, to perform market analysis, and to best understand how to serve new markets
  • Define and communicate business needs, technology expectations, business priorities, project scope/expectations, and analytics support
  • With business and product leadership, develop product roadmaps that clearly communicate the plan and means of driving results
  • Provide strategic context/understanding for the delivery teams in order to make a positive impact on the seller experience for our clients
Product Strategy & Planning
  • Collaborate with client-facing, product and engineering teams, user experience, support, marketing, sales, analytics, product operations, and client engagement to develop execution and launch plans to ensure successful internal and external communications of plans and enhancements
  • Consider implications of how planning activities impact the overall Global Digital Marketplaces and Inventory Solutions strategy
  • Meet with clients to help them understand current capabilities as well as communicate future state
  • Identify key use cases and KPI’s to evaluate product performance and work with the analytics teams to implement
Product Roadmap & Execution
  • Drive definition of the product roadmap to deliver solutions that delight sellers, and supports the needs/asks of other solution groups
  • Define product priorities and schedules in collaboration with product development leadership, delivery streams, release trains, and delivery teams
  • With UX, deliver awesome experiences that delight users with beautiful designs that solve their most important problems
  • Support day-to-day product responsibilities by working with teams to prioritize stories, providing clarification or definition for cards, understanding estimates provided, and attending team standups and meetings as needed
  • Evaluate what features are being most utilized and report to internal and external stakeholders.  Drive the roadmap based on opportunities found from these evaluations. 
  • Monitor performance, compile status and communicate updates to all levels of management

Qualifications:Required Experience (minimum): 
  • 4 -7+ years’ experience in product management, product software delivery, physical auction operations, software quality assurance or related functions
  • Experience with Agile teams and the ability to work with product and technology resources across different organizations
  • Experience across end-to-end software development lifecycle
  • Work efficiently, sometimes with incomplete information to close gaps and meet the needs of internal stakeholders and customers alike
  • A self-starter, who proactively seeks to understand the client experience journey and associated pain points 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships within and across delivery teams
  • Technical skills are a plus.  Able to communicate and garner respect of engineers and data scientists
  • Automotive sector understanding preferred, including online and physical auction remarketing 
  • Expertise in highly matrixed, highly decentralized product and development teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
  • Strong project management and performance management skills
  • Team member who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and operates with a sense of urgency

  • College degree (BA/BS or advanced degree and/or equivalent experience)
  • Travel 10 – 15%
