Director of Integrated Media

• Sets the vision for agency growth through media services in collaboration with the Managing Director and director-level peers. Reports to the Managing Director• Influences overall agency direction as part of the leadership team • Sets a high standard for excellence for all media services with a focus on agency and client growth • Develops a team of talented media professionals who achieve excellence through innovative and imaginative media services• Partners with top agency clients and becomes a valued business partner who understands their strategic business goals • Models Ideabar leadership standards and cares about agency culture • Recommends and implements policies to enhance the effectiveness of the overall operation of the media department• Plans and budgets for staffing, resources and equipment.• Establishes and maintains operational systems within the department which give necessary information to other related departments (traffic, finance, and production) • Develops strong relationships with media partners/vendors, Cox Media Group stakeholders and other agency departments • Keeps Managing Director and peers informed on significant client and departmet activities• Supervises all Media Department personnel; evaluates job performances, keeps staff informed and up-to-date on agency and account changes, makes work and work-priority assignments• Trains/informs staff and keeps track of new trends in media planning/buying• Creates strategic marketing and media plans • Works “in platform” as needed, especially while the team is small• Supervises the quality of media planning and buying performance• Plans for and participates in new business presentations• Meets with clients on a regular basis to discuss media and marketing objectives, proposals, plans and post-analysis• Works with Client Services on initial objectives, strategies and media planning for all accounts and utilizes or delegates that information to the team• Maintains sources of market and marketing information, including the market research reports of various media. Sees that constructive contacts with media are consistently cultivated. • Understands and interprets research sources• Insures accounts are properly reconciledQualifications:Required:
- Four year degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience leading media teams at a marketing or media agency
- Integrated media experience, agency leadership experience, client-facing experience, some travel nationally (once a month or so)
