OVERALL SUMMARY:

HBO Global Distribution’s Product Marketing team plays an integral role in developing marketing opportunities for distribution partners that increase engagement and excitement around HBO’s programming across linear, digital, transactional and physical product offerings. The Distribution Product Marketing Associate will provide support on projects ranging from promotional content planning, press junkets, events and screenings to support distributor needs, as well as provide ad-hoc departmental assistance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Distribution Marketing to brainstorm and develop promotional plans around series during their pre-production phase. Manage product parity across distribution platforms.

  • Coordinate communications with Distribution Marketing and Creative Services, including managing production grids, briefs, and budgets.

  • Assist broader Distribution Marketing teams with content planning and tracking projects to meet deadlines. Assist with bonus content strategy across home entertainment, curating playlists for EST (electronic sell-through) partners and facilitating legal clearance.

  • Coordinate with distribution marketing teams to help establish budgets, submit payments and track expenses.

  • Provide additional support during press junkets, including managing day-of logistics, coordinating with Media Relations, and facilitating partner access and interviews.

  • Prepare content sell-in information to help teams communicate promotional content strategy to distribution partners.

  • Develop a strong understanding of HBO programming, to optimize content planning, as well as the distribution landscape, both broadcast and digital.
