Principal Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this role is substantive and challenging. You’ll develop and apply specific (i.e. research, writing, computer, digital & presentation) skills, and assist with the digital and event marketing of StarChefs’ advertisers and their products. You’ll collaborate with the marketing and editorial team to plan, coordinate and execute projects on the marketing production schedule. Examples include: create and maintain digital assets, manage surveys, contests and special projects and plan, run and report on social media campaigns.

 

In this role you’ll help drive the marketing of StarChefs as a company and our Rising Stars and Congress events.  You’ll work across departments and with venues, suppliers, presenters, budgets, rentals, and of course, lots of great food. Collaborating with the Director of Marketing you’ll develop, oversee and execute strategies that leverage collateral and assets through focused communications (email blasts, save-the-date postcards, etc) and other methods. You’ll drive the revision of Adkits and communication to update and improve consistency in branding.

Required Skills and Personal Characteristics:

  • Passion & interest for all things culinary (beyond just a love of eating food!)
  • Ability to thrive in small company, non-corporate environment
  • Outgoing, high energy, organized and attentive to details and accuracy
  • Strong and effective (written, verbal) communication and social media skills
  • Strong computer skills (use of word, power point, excel, google docs)
  • Should enjoy building relationships and managing multiple projects

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years marketing experience
  • Bachelor Degree a must
  • Professional restaurant experience or culinary school background a plus
