Creative Services Intern-2

This internship will provide an opportunity to experience and learn the fundamentals of Creative Services and marketing, how it relates to other departments within a television station, and ultimately, how it defines the station’s on-air look, identity and brand.
In addition, this internship will provide an opportunity to actively participate in the production of news promotion, integrated sales content, and original web content. This internship is designed to marry course of study to hands-on experience. The Intern will also have the opportunity to shadow professionals and gain hands-on experience.Responsibilities
Assist News Topical producers with procuring materials needed for daily production
Help research developing stories
Shadow producers on location shoots
Help develop and create digital content
Assist with organizing the tape library
Learn how to write voice-over copy and baseball drop-in copy
Shadow and observe how the Writer/Producers create spots and how those spots are put together in the edit room.
Help keep track of all the incoming materials, and potentially assist and coordinate shoots
Learn the process of how a promo gets to air
Administrative duties as assignedQualifications
Advertising, Broadcast, Digital, and Film majors.
Good Writing skills, able to multitask and attention to detail a must.
Knowledge of Final Cut 7, Premiere and Adobe programs (photoshop,after effects) a plus.
- Must be 18 or older and eligible to work in the US.
- Registered students in good standing at an accredited college or university preferred.
- Must be able to work the hours required by department.
- Students can receive university or college credit for participating in this program but need to handle paperwork involved
- Dates: Summer
Internships pay state minimum wage.
