This position reports directly into the Manager of International Marketing and supports HBO’s international brand growth and equity by ensuring that marketing strategies, best practices and key initiatives are shared globally. Acting as brand steward and a liaison between the domestic marketing team and HBO’s international partners, this position will develop and execute internal communication initiatives that foster integration of the brand on a global level, while ensuring cultural relevancy in local markets.



  • Communicate domestic brand, product and program marketing strategies and initiatives to HBO’s international networks and distribution partners.

  • Work collaboratively with international partners to develop marketing programs that are globally aligned and relevant to local markets.

  • Act as liaison with internal departments (Program Marketing, Digital & Social Media,, DND, Marketing Operations, Brand Marketing, etc.) to deliver strategies, key insights and campaign materials that drive brand equity and ensure a consistent identity on a global level.

  • Build strong working relationships with international counterparts and socialize best practices across territories, particularly when it comes to digital and social media.

  • Manage and maintain international brand guidelines, competitive analyses and assist owned networks and key licensing partners with their own brand growth.

  • Effectively supervise a Coordinator, providing direction, managing workflow and overseeing skill development.

  • Manage and maintain budget, ensuring effective and economical allocation of resources.



  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years marketing experience, preferably at a media or entertainment company

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to think strategically and creatively

  • Experience working with international markets is preferred

  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed

  • Strong initiative and ability to function independently

  • Strong understanding and interest for digital and social media practices and platforms

  • Foreign language skills are a plus
