The Associate Producer/Editor for the Golf Channel Digital Team will support all efforts in the production of video content for the digital and social units. This person will produce and edit raw footage into final product for new media and online. Must thrive in a fast-paced, news environment as well as a post-production environment. Lend technical and creative skills in the field of non-linear AVID editing and story-telling to enhance content engagement and maintain a premium look.

Job Duties:
  • AVID HD Editing on Media Composer
  • Produce/Edit short features, instruction and highlight packages for DVU and/or Golf Channel’s social media team
  • Pitch and develop creative ideas for short form content
  • Clip and post video to www.golfchannel.com
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of AVID Interplay
  • 2 years non-linear editing experience
  • Familiarity and/or working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and After Effects.
  • Ability to work well within a team structure under tight deadlines

    Additional Job Requirements
  • Must be willing to work in Orlando, FL
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

    Desired Qualifications:
  • College degree (or work experience) preferred
  • 2-4 years creative production and/or news writing experience preferred
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Must be client oriented.
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Must possess ability to work under time restraints and deadlines
  • Knowledge and passion for golf a plus.
  • Experience working with, directing on-air talent.
  • Knowledge of other sports, pop-culture, digital/social video trends a plus.
