  • Responsible for working with Executive Producer to ensure the overall quality of lifestyle show production
  • Work independently with guidance from the Executive Producer, station management and stakeholders
  • Find and book guests for the show, following booking protocols
  • Manage and arrange any necessary travel logistics for guests
  • Conduct pre-interviews of guests and based on their responses, script questions for use by Talent
  • Responsible for supporting Executive Producer oversee on-air-talent, production crews and guest relations
  • Write compelling copy and teases when needed
  • Secure elements such as sound bites and video to support segments
  • Generate sales ideas, tapping into a broad array of sources for ideas
  • Develop and produce live Advertiser segments
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or minimum 2 years of experience working in broadcast television or production
  • Experience in entertainment magazine style, talk shows, and segment production
  • Must have experience with handheld digital cameras, computer editing systems
  • Must have good knowledge of a various broadcast, digital, and other multiplatform
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must be willing to work in Chicago Illinois
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Must possess strong creative writing skills
  • Possess excellent communication, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines under pressure
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Ability to work well independently and be detail oriented
  • Possess strong video production and knowledge of editing platforms (e.g., Adobe Premiere)
  • Ability to work with both external and internal clients
  • Working knowledge in social media strategy (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Solid writing skills and editorial judgment
  • Ability to produce own stories, including all aspects of production (edit, write, shoot, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong sense of visual story telling story
  • Proficient with newsroom computer systems (e.g., iNews, Dalet)
