Newsday.com Summer Internship
Newsday.com is looking for journalism students for Summer internships. The ideal candidates are hard-working, meticulous and self-motivated team players with previous newspaper and online experience. In the last 5 years, Newsday has hired more than a dozen former interns as full-time employees. Interns work out of Newsday's Melville office, or in the field. Depending on the specific department, interns post stories and create videos, photo galleries, polls and other multimedia extras; write stories; maintain specific sections of the site; and work on social media. Interns also assist with breaking news and help with longer-term multimedia projects. We are looking for students who are interested in: news, sports, entertainment, lifestyle and social media.
•This is a Summer internship. Preferred majors: Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Sports Management.
•Students may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.
•Should have a valid driver’s license and access to a car.
