Wells Narrative Group, a boutique communications and content agency with clients that range from Fortune 500 companies to Silicon Valley startups, is seeking a whip-smart, proactive, fast-moving and detail-oriented PR account executive to join our growing, entrepreneurial team. We create and execute programs for big brands and leaders in financial services, technology, impact investing, and media/marketing/advertising. The ideal Account Executive candidate will have 3 to 4 years of experience and be able to support media relations, event management and client communications across a varied portfolio of clients. Experience in public relations, communications or related field required. Agency experience preferred.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Manage multiple clients and manage daily work streams of remote and on-site employees and contractors
  • Craft unique story angles about complex topics and conduct media outreach to a variety of outlets and secure or support top-tier placement for clients
  • Identify and conduct outreach to conference and event organizers open to speaker placement
  • ¬†Facilitate media interviews and oversee logistics for speaking engagements and conference participation
  • Write winning emails, pitches, news releases and some content
  • Manage social media channels, curating and writing short posts
  • Identify trends and opportunities for clients on an ongoing basis
  • Proactively offer solutions to or assist senior team members
  • Understand communications techniques and typical PR agency/client procedures and best practices from a previous job, preferably at a PR agency
  • Be an organized self-starter, problem-solver and project manager who can work autonomously
  • Be comfortable with and interested in working with B2B companies
  • Possess outstanding verbal and presentation skills with the ability to speak knowledgeably and confidently with senior executives
