Role Purpose
The Jr. Publicist will publicize and promote NBC Sports Group programming in accordance with the overall strategy and brand positioning.

  • Provide day-to-day media relations strategy and execution for Premier Lacrosse League, IMSA, Motocross, Rugby, Ironman World Championships
  • Support Communications team to promote sports properties, including Olympics, NFL, NASCAR/Indycar, NHL, Motorsports, All-American Bowl, America’s Cup, Horse Racing, and Combat Sports
  • Generate press materials, including weekly press releases to support initiatives, content, and tune-in for Football Morning in America, Podcasts, NFL, and Olympics Sports
  • Coordinate media interviews, photo shoots, and publicity opportunities
  • Pitch ideas and create promotional opportunities for properties and talent
  • Support publicity efforts for All-American Bowl and America’s Cup, as well as for NBC Sports’ audio programming
  • Serve as a member of the NBC Sports Group Communications team and contribute to initiatives, PR campaigns, and events, as needed
  • Contribute new ideas and create content for the NBC Sports Group History website
  • Draft Media Guides, as needed, including the Super Bowl and Olympics
  • Assist with maintaining press lists, corporate bios and the NBC Sports Group Press Box website

  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations
    • Minimum (1) one year working in public relations and/or Sports industry
    • Submission of writing samples required
