Wainscot Media, a successful custom publishing and digital marketing company, is looking for an experienced editor who can work with clients to develop content strategy, write copy that’s accurate, grammatically correct, engaging and reader-friendly, and manage print publications from start to finish. You’ll be working on a number of luxury magazines that require regular client meetings. Candidates must be passionate about fashion, jewelry and lifestyle writing, have experience working directly with clients, be highly organized and have a strong work ethic. Marketing experience is a plus, as is InDesign experience.
You'll work from our Park Ridge, NJ, office, but will be involved in client meetings and attend corporate events, as needed. Ours is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and creative culture that offers room to grow.

Client relationships: Foster excellent working relationships with all assigned clients, building trust by producing outstanding content that helps clients meet marketing goals, build brand and acquire new customers. With a friendly but persistent touch, help ensure that clients meet deadlines to keep projects on schedule.
Content Strategy: Based on clients’ marketing goals and your understanding of what engages and interests luxury consumers, help clients develop best-in-class features and departments for custom magazines. Create and manage related interactive digital content.
Content Production: Write accurate, insightful, engaging and grammatically correct lifestyle content for custom magazines and newsletters. Together with clients and designer, plan editorial elements upfront to ensure each feature is highly readable and includes immersive imagery. Some assigning and editing of content produced by others.
Project Management: Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including content development, writing/editing, proofreading, review and approval. Develop schedules and meet deadlines. Work with project designer to make client changes to InDesign files during review and approval process (familiarity with InDesign a plus).
