The Traffic Coordinator II creates logs and schedules spots on over 100+ networks for their zones on a daily basis. They are responsible for loading schedules daily to the Commercial Insertion team. This individual will export and activate orders and order revisions properly into software systems, follow all business rules to maximize revenues to the division by scheduling spots based on highest priority/rate. The coordinator will also resolve scheduling discrepancies on advertising orders, PSAs, Marketing spots and promotions. This individual will communicate to Account Executives (AE) any issues that arise that would cause spots to not be scheduled while managing exceptions to logs on a daily basis. They are Responsible for processing and distributing daily notifications for missing copy and traffic instructions, and unplaced / missed spots / opportunities, monitor schedules for future Network logs for exceptions, oversell and missed opportunities. Effort should be made to recover all lost spots and revenues, and act as a liaison between AE and Commercial Insertion to ensure the delivery of spots electronically or via FTP are encoded and ready for air.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience
  • 1+ years’ experience working in broadcasting, advertising agency or traffic environment
  • Strong Communication skills in person, by telephone and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel is a must
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
