Major Responsibilities 


Maintain key project documents throughout the development cycle, including schedules, scope, etc.  


Monitor all editorial stages including trafficking and reviewing final print/digital packages 


Support Editorial and Production by addressing/finding answers to potential roadblocks, including questions, concerns or issues that may arise with regard to content or work flow 


Orchestrate/facilitate prioritization and decision making with Editorial senior management team 


Assist Editorial senior management team with budgets, RFPs, contracts, and tracking  


Keep project team members informed of project changes in terms of schedule and costs 


Ensure that quality assurance processes are in place and communicated to the team, and that quality issues are addressed; requires basic understanding of product content 


Serve as a liaison between Editorial and various departments, including Production, Copyedit, and Graphic Design  


Serve as a liaison between editors and editorial senior management team, providing regular updates on progress and department/team needs  






Bachelor’s degree 


Two years’ publishing experience preferred 


Project Management Skills 


Experience in the publishing industry 


Understanding of print and digital development life cycle 


Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills 


Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills 


Competence in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, and spreadsheets 


Conflict Resolution: Must be able to positively and effectively manage competing priorities, resourcing constraints and scheduling conflicts  


Must be able to effectively communicate and serve as liaison between Executive Stakeholders, Department Managers and Functional Leads to ensure strategic goals are met in a unified fashion.
