Three Rooms Press seeks Editorial Intern: 8 hrs per week onsite in NYC
Editorial intern wanted for Three Rooms Press, responsible for reviewing and editing manuscripts, press releases, newsletters, and other published materials, both online and by hand. You should be prepared to send both books and emails out to different media outlets for reviewing and respond to emails requesting information and publication. You should also have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader for PDFs, and Instagram. We are a very welcoming team and this is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience working with our award-winning books.
This is an parttime position, requiring two half-days (4 hours per day, 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday) ONSITE at our Greenwich Village office: perfect for undergrads or grad students or anyone interested in the publishing industry. Please do not apply if you cannot work onsite, two weekdays per week, during the hours listed above.
- Interest in books, the book publishing industry, and indie presses
- Be able to write quickly and precisely
- Create content for press releases, emails, newsletters, and book reviews
- Copyedit press releases, emails, newsletters, manuscripts, and ARCs
- Keen eye for detail and command of the English language
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
