Job Purpose: Create and implement sales strategies for client stations including analysis of research, programming, and pricing.  Monitor sales performance and achievement of sales goals for all offices.






Responsibilities (but not limited to)




“Station Expert” and key contact on all assigned stations


Provides overall administration for team.  Sets the sales strategy in conjunction with DOS


Integrating sales and research, providing analysis and recommendations on sales approaches, multiplatform, pricing, inventory control and programming


Accountable for achieving station budgets and gaining market share


Orchestrate Quarterly stations reviews








Leading Team Managers – hiring, results, performance & evaluation


Assist Team Managers in determining potential sales personnel


Oversee and recommend on hiring AEs & assistants for management, sales & research






Station Relations




Establish & maintain contact with all levels of client corporate station management:




Visit client  station, all sales offices, corporate and advertiser offices


Inform and keep undated on progress, performance & revenue goals to station management






Agency/Advertisers Relations




Establish and maintain contact with key advertisers/agency personnel:




Assist and evaluate managers/AEs in all office






Sales and Strategies




Develop Overall sales plan for each station and define expectations:




Set station budgets/market share goals


Set performance expectations & accountability


Multiplatform, specials, sports, and promotional sales


New business opportunities - target advertisers, and agencies


Monitor and track performance goals


Promote digital opportunities for CoxReps - Gamut


Monitor stations daily


Pricing/Inventory/Account Market Analysis




Coordinate Programming recommendations with other depts. 






















Qualifications:Education: 4
Years College (Bachelor’s Degree)


Experience Necessary: At
least 10 years in sales management at a major representative firm.


Budgets, Ratings data, spreadsheets


Written: Audit
reviews, sales strategies, agency and station correspondence


Computer Skills:
Excel, Word. PowerPoint, MediaLine
