Role Summary:
If you love all things social media and pop culture and are a pro at making memes, short form videos – this job is for you. Access Digital is looking for a socially-driven individual to join the team to help create and drive a social media strategy, create custom content that builds our community and engagement, and manage our social media accounts.

The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about all things social media and can build and execute a social media strategy for individual social platforms. The ideal candidate will also be entertainment obsessed and be experienced developing editorial calendars, timely content plans, and day-to-day coverage across social media. Unafraid of numbers, the candidate will use performance data as a way to iterate and evolve social content for higher levels of engagement both real time and testing for the future. This person will be working with various stakeholders within the department to ensure engaging content also goes live on a regular and timely basis across key social platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:

Plan, create and execute the social media content strategy in support of the show/Access Digital goals, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more. Responsible for day-to-day coverage of entertainment news on social accounts Responsible for planning, creation and execution of social media strategy for large-scale events, including award showsImplement an engagement strategy that focuses on initiating conversations, building one-on-one relationships and influencing fan behaviorAnalyze performance data on a regular basis to make improvements to content creation and communicate findings and best practices in a weekly report to internal teamCoordinate with Access show producers to help drive tune-in to the show, and come up with creative ideas to build excitement around guests and hosts. Coordinate social concepts that support department-wide marketing and sales campaigns and event-based promotionsWork with the team to establish and maintain an authentic social voice that enhances the network and series brands, increases its reach and improves the fan experience

Basic Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience producing content for digital platforms

  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
  • Must have work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must have ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings due to news cycles and breaking news

  • Pop culture fanatic who can create fun content that incites conversation
  • Proven understanding of social media best practices and a strategic approach to a wide range of new and emerging platforms
  • Experience with all forms of new media
  • Able to track and leverage KPIs, while understanding the rapidly changing social media landscape
  • Skilled with Photohsop, Premeire or AfterEffects, social media products and schedulers, gifs and memes
  • Editing experience is a plus
