The Nation, America’s leading progressive print and online journal, seeks a Podcast Producer to lead production of a new weekly political interview podcast. The Podcast Producer will work closely with the podcast host and the Multimedia Editor on a 6-month pilot season. Responsibilities include:
Piloting the sound and feel of a brand new show, and providing input on editorial direction of the season’s narrative arc.
Recording, editing and mixing a weekly show.
Facilitating tape syncs, studio time or other remote recording for weekly guests.
Applicants must have experience in radio or podcast production. The right candidate will not only be knowledgeable about progressive politics but also excited about the challenge of grabbing listeners’ attention, and getting an audience to tune in week after week.
