Job Duties:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of digital content initiatives across the NBC Sports Regional Networks, under the supervision of the SVP, Content and Live Programming
  • Manage select national writers, content managers and the team responsible for editing and publishing content for the MyTeams app in collaboration with local digital teams across the NBC Sports Regional Network locations
  • Collaborate with RSN digital teams on daily, weekly and tent-pole content budgets
  • Assign stories, videos and podcast topics to the National NBA Insider
  • Continually analyze the performance of content against goals, and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Work with Sales to identify sponsored content opportunities across RSNs
  • Collaborate with the SVP, Content and Live Programming to create content initiatives that expand the brand
  • Assist the Director, Distribution & Growth on fulfillment of content delivery to partners
  • Push the organization to develop products and workflow that will keep up with the evolving ways that people get their sports content
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the SVP, Content and Live Programming



  • Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or relevant work experience
  • Minimum seven (7) years of sports writing/reporting/video producing experience primarily for digital platforms
  • Minimum two (2) years managing a multi-person digital media team

    Additional Qualifications
  • Strong writing skills and news judgment with extensive experience in sports media
  • Demonstrated experience assigning and editing sports stories for established sports writers
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, with a strong work ethic
  • Working knowledge of digital media technology, particularly content-management and publishing tools and data metrics
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms
