The Marketing Specialist for Telemundo Houston is responsible for leading external marketing departmental efforts, under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, collaborating with cross functional teams to build and develop strong organic growth in the community.
Identify new marketing opportunities for the station.
Communicate, implement and manage marketing campaigns for our program launches, community events and client events.
As assigned by the Marketing Director help oversee local, non-traditional /OOH marketing strategies and campaigns and communicate opportunities to improve coverage on media trade publications. (Sweeps, Station Events, Station Initiatives, Festivals and press releases).
Community affairs liaison as needed and assigned by the Marketing Director.
Local captain for the national NBC/ Telemundo initiative Clear the Shelters
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop marketing campaigns, concepts and materials such as brochures, flyers, advertising campaigns, promotional campaigns, premiums, etc.
Develop concepts and copy for press releases, presentations, brochures and e-marketing materials.
Assist with brainstorming, planning and execution with special Network initiatives.
Develop evaluation post-reports for marketing, talent & press initiatives for the Director of Marketing, department & company review.
Monitor launches & performance of our local and national titles to create and update highlights for local sales team.
Develop competitive reports after every festival to analyze our advertising exposure on media trade publications in comparison with competition.
Understand , complete and maintain monthly the NBCUniversal diversity and inclusion local community report via TrackVia platform
Create and update an ROI and SOI matrix as needed and assigned by the Marketing Director for different station events and initiatives.
Complete and update event activations form as needed for the Finance Director and Executive Assistant weekly.
Help Marketing Director as needed to manage, communicate, facilitate and organize the intricate details pertaining to special marketing and station events, galas, socials, news school visits, presentations, etc.
Oversee, Recruit, Hire and train station Ambassador teams. Ensuring that they follow proper station protocol and represent our brand in a correct and professional manner.
Help oversee as needed by the Marketing Director the orders and delivery of all materials and/or publications for our marketing/branding campaigns and sales materials making sure they meet time, quality & budget requirements.
Help Marketing Director organize weekly meetings to discuss upcoming station events, station programming, Production, social media and digital workflow.
Ability to effectively write and post content to stations social media platforms and promotional webpage with the goal of engaging viewers. Ensure to keep up on the latest social media trends and trainings so that you are up to speed and can effectively post. Manage on-air contest, registration landing pages and post contest reports

-A minimum of 3 years of strategic planning and/or strategic marketing and promotions experience.
-Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in marketing, advertising, communications or finance).
-Bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
-Must be a self-starter, highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
-Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
-Adapts to change rapidly, handles multiple assignments well, functions well under pressure, and re prioritizes quickly without compromising quality.
-Successful candidate is highly organized and excels at planning and executing.
-Pays close attention to detail and accuracy.
-Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Must possess a professional approach, proven good judgment and a successful track record.
