Initiate organization of warehouse of clothing, uniforms and accessories to create a successful shopping experienceBuild and maintain a positive culture that creates value for the film community and engages coworkers in a positive work environmentManage a team of 4 to accomplish data entry, clothing sizing and rack organization, administrative responsibilities and customer service needsWork with established price list from LA costume facility to aid costume crews in budgeting shows; interface with LA operation for billing customersUnderstand the New York fashion scene and keep up with current fashion trendsBuild a customer base of industry-only customers to insure consistent repeat business
Filmmaker’s Destination is opening a costume rental business in Long Island City, NY. This will augment and work in conjunction with our existing costume rental facility in Los Angeles. We are looking for candidates with NY film industry experience to manage a customer friendly environment for industry costumers and designers. A creative individual experienced at managing crews of at least 4; able to identify fabrics, decade and pattern of clothing and assess how clothing translates on camera.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Business Administration
• Work experience in film production preferred.
• Skilled and innovative in inventory warehouse management
• Skilled at Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Excellent customer service and mathematical skills
• Able to interpret corporate financial reports and address business analysis
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills that drive operational innovation
• Ability to effectively manage people and projects
