Sourcing Journal: Sales Account Executive 

Sourcing Journal is looking for an entry level Sales Account Executive focused on corporate subscriptions for its flagship publication plus its emerging verticals. The Sales Account Executive will focus on prospecting for new apparel manufacturers, brands and retailers to purchase company-wide subscriptions for their employees as well as renewing existing corporate subscribers.

Our readers include executives focused all areas of the market, including textiles, design, sourcing, trade, technology, compliance and retail.


  • Generate new business revenue from digital subscription sales to corporates, delivering against and exceeding set targets
  • Prospect for business by telephone, email and one-on-one interactions among both existing customers and any identified prospects
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the features, advantages of Sourcing Journal content, products and expertise with the ability to articulate these benefits to potential subscribers
  • Work with the wider sales teams to develop and close new business sales   
  • Investigate and analyze customer data to identify ways to improve customer usage and increase client’s digital news subscribers and minimize risk of customer cancellations
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate client records to provide timely management information
  • Build strong relationships with customers to expand new business opportunities
  • Success will be measured by volume of new corporate subscriptions, their subsequent renewals and level of profitable revenue growth as a result of new and renewing subscriptions


  • One year of B2B sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills   
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
