This is a part-time, non-staff role. The Part-Time Show Director will be responsible for directing studio shows and coding with Sony ELC production automation, in addition to other work as assigned by our Sr. Manager, Operations. Schedule will vary by week, with no minimum guarantee for hours.

Job Duties
  • Code and Direct pre/post game shows, talk programs and specials for broadcast utilizing Sony ELC
  • Be creative in blocking shots and pacing of shots
  • Coordinate transitions and production techniques with control room, studio and remote crew
  • Ability to perform multiple technical responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high
  • level of execution and reliability
  • Work with Producers to coordinate execution of elements to be integrated into broadcasts and live shots from the field
  • Work with technical staff to satisfy production needs for show
  • Provide constructive feedback to producers and studio crew
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years television directing experience

    Additional Job Requirements
  • Proficient in iNEWS news communications system, and News program operations
  • Good general knowledge of sports and television sports production
  • Functional knowledge of graphics application and other equipment in the control room
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while multi-tasking in a fast paced, high
    pressure, live production environment
  • Punctual attendance
