Content & Digital Media Manager

General Purpose

The ideal candidate is passionate about NYC real estate, architecture, design, history, and current events as relates to content and storytelling. Always focused on engaging their audience, this person thrives on ensuring that each piece of content is on brand, grammatically correct, structurally sound, and the best it can be. This position will work on both CityRealty and 6sqft, and therefore, should be well-versed in both editorial and industry-focused content management.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Create content for multiple CityRealty and 6sqft channels, including website, social media, and email campaigns. Content must engage the user, be on brand, accurate, and within the parameters given
  • Serve as a morning news editor for 6sqft, covering topics such as real estate, new developments, urban design, transportation, policy, and events
  • Assist in determining appropriate content for 6sqft and CityRealty and streamlining the voice of each outlet
  • Assist with the daily posting and scheduling of social media content.
  • Help field press requests
  • Find appropriate imagery for editorial stories and obtain permissions for photography
  • Evaluate key performance metrics and monitor traffic, followers, and story trends 
  • Create interactive content for social media outlets
  • Take original photography and videography of new developments, buildings, landscape projects, events, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Architecture Studies, Real Estate Finance, or a related field
  • 2-4 years real estate and/or NYC lifestyle copywriting experience
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a cross-departmental team
  • Knowledge of all aspects of marketing communications, including social and traditional media, web, publications, digital media, etc.
  • Possess unparalleled professionalism, ability to articulate with clarity to various audiences
  • Sees (and seeks) opportunities for improvement, and acts on them
  • Thrives in an ever-changing environment
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices 
  • Experience working with Google Earth manipulation a plus.
