The main function as an On-Air Talent/Morning Show  Producer is to work with and take direction from the primary morning hosts to produce an entertaining, topical, relatable on-air show that meets the needs of the specific target audience of the radio station as guided by your Program Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Live air shift as scheduled by Supervisor.
  • Voice track automation of pre-recorded air shifts approved by Program Director.
  • Station event appearances as scheduled to include: station concerts for the purpose of connecting with the listener, handing out station promotional items, directing listener questions at booth, assisting programming and promotions staff with giveaway execution and distribution. 
  • Commercial production shift during the course of each weekday, Monday through Friday. 
  • Attending station programming meetings, training (per request), station staff meetings (as needed).
  • Be available for scheduled air check review sessions for monitoring personality’s performance and coaching of on air presentation and techniques and suggestions. 
  • Morning Show Producer responsibilities include writing, producing, and directing all aspects of station and personality social media and other digital platforms, including video.  
  • Extensive morning content audio editing and re-purposing, including daily communication with morning show affiliates, and “man on the street” type interviews and segments. 
Miscellaneous other duties upon request.Qualifications:Wide Orbit and Adobe 3.0 knowledge is essential.Promo Suite knowledge helpful.Minimum of two years on-air experience.Requires good typing skills.Requires excellent communication skills.Requires good interpersonal skills.Experience with engaging radio audiences via social media and digital platforms.Experience and Education:
  • Four (4) year college degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years on-air radio experience.
Necessary Language Skills:
  • Able to communicate in English.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; or crouch. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Other: Reliable mode of transportation (public transportation is not suitable.)Night and weekend work is required.
