Rotten Tomatoes is looking for passionate, experienced, and movie-and-TV–obsessed Digital Content Producer to join the team. The Digital Content Producer will work with RT editors and curators to produce dynamic and engaging content, run the RT editorial calendar, manage multiple administrative tasks, and report on and analyze content performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital production and workflow management, be an effective communicator, and, most importantly, come with a passion for movies and TV, as well as for the Rotten Tomatoes Brand. The position reports to the Editor-in-Chief. Plans, builds and maintains features and guides content on rottentomatoes.com.Manages and optimizes the rottentomatoes.com homepage, plus various section and franchise pages, working with live-reported data. Sources, crops, and edits images for use in features, guides, and on homepages and section pages.Manages the Digital Editorial calendar, liaising between the editorial, social, and video teams to ensure cross-department transparency, and that deadlines are managed and met. Monitors the daily production schedule, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are aware when and where content is being published. Works with CRM team to curate and supply assets for Rotten Tomatoes’ email messaging. Helps curate TV, celebrity and movie pages by adding images and information when needed.Assists in the curation of media lists and content on rottentomatoes.com.Manages a weekly TV calendar that will help guide RT’s coverage. Provides regular reporting to various teams using Analytics programs.Manages administrative paperwork (contracts, invoices, etc.) for freelance contributors. Participates in production and editorial meetings, coming to the table with compelling, innovative ideas for content and how to present it.
• 3-5 years as a digital producer or editorial coordinator, ideally for an entertainment-based company.
• Solid understanding of Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Outlook and other common office management software.
• Experience using Photoshop and sourcing from image collections.
• Some proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency using CMSs such as WordPress, as well as custom CMSs to build content and maintain entry pages.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to share specific goals and results.
• A passion for movies and television and an understanding of the industry.
