WETA, the second-largest station producer of content for the public television system is seeking a Camera/Audio/Editor Technician to perform on a daily and ongoing basis editing; studio camera operation; field camera operation (ENG/EFP); field/studio audio; stage manager and other assignments for WETA Production Center clients. Perform other duties as may be assigned in accordance with union jurisdiction. This position is covered by the IBEW union contract. Key responsibilities include:
- Field camera operation (ENG/EFP) for local documentaries, news programs and special projects.
- Field audio, control room A-1, transmission, and utility assignments.
- Editing video (AVID) for local and national productions, special projects, and news.
- Studio camera operation for live, network news programs and local productions.
Minimum seven years’ experience at a network or local station as a field camera operator, audio (A-1) and editor technician.
