• Produces, develops and creates editorial content, including text, photo, and video for multiple platforms • Responsible for growing audience engagement and interaction • Writes compelling headlines for video, articles and tweets that take the audience deeper into the story • Creates and executes innovative strategies to grow show brand on digital and social platforms • Collaborates in editor capacity with host and senior producers to develop and refine editorial tone and voice through daily blogs and social media outlets • Publishes the show for network platforms, edits content from the show to be repackaged for off-network/social platforms • Speedy decision-maker that reacts quickly to newsworthy/fresh topics • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines

Basic Qualification/ Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in news, preferably including working for a digital news platform
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Political Science, History or related field
• Must have experience using metrics and social tools to improve news/social media strategy
• Non-linear video editing experience/Premiere and Photoshop experience preferred

Additional Job Requirements:
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including occasional weekends, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• Must be willing to work in New York City

• Thorough knowledge of American politics
• Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling content
• Knowledge of current events, politics and pop culture.
• Familiarity with digital media trends – both platforms and content
• Possess ability to develop story ideas and angles and research
• Prior experience covering the Presidential election cycles
