Product Insights Overview:
The Cox Product Insights team provides the Product Development & Management organization with the metrics, analysis, and insights required to understand and optimally manage the business. The team sources and/or creates standardized metrics and reporting, highlights key trends and insights, identifies continuous improvement opportunities, partners with key programs to measure success, and performs targeted analyses.
Assignment Scope and Deliverable Overview:
The intern in this role will partner with subject matter experts to perform deep-dive investigations and analyses into an identified product offering with the goal of surfacing opportunities for improvement in customer experience and operational performance. These efforts will include learning about a product Cox offers, understanding the available data set related to said product, brainstorming and defining ideas for improved reporting and insights, partnering to execute upon one or more of these ideas, and connecting the work performed to an owner who will make decisions based upon these new learnings.
Attributes/Skills We Seek:
Strong desire to learn
Fundamental understanding of data and simple analysis tools and techniques such as Excel, Tableau, SQL
Self-motivation and accountability
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Currently enrolled in a related undergraduate degree program with a focus such as Business, Analysis, or Operations Management
Basic understanding of simple transactional data
Basic project and process management skills
- Ability to work independently, while seeking leadership guidance as needed
- Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
One or more of the following
- Intermediate to advanced data analysis skills
- Telecom industry experience or interest
- Process improvement mindset
- Keen interest in analytics, data mining, and connecting the dots
