<u>Overview:</u> The position of Director, Corporate Events is responsible for supporting various departments within NBC GOLF by planning, managing and executing all company-related external special events, hospitality and guest services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years in a special/corporate events capacity.

<u>Job Responsibilities:</u>
<li> Plan and supervise all corporate events for NBC GOLF, including, but not limited to, selecting event sites, negotiating hotel and event venue contracts, gifting, creating and managing event budgets and presenting post-event budget recap to appropriate departments.
<li> Work with creative team (internal and external) to design signature NBC GOLF events incorporating lighting, audio/visual components, décor and art direction.
<li> Oversee design and creation of correspondence as it relates to event i.e. invitations, confirmations, graphics, itineraries.
<li> Interface with NBC Sports Corporate Events team relative to all Golf-focused events
<li> Contract talent/entertainment for events, either internally or with agencies outside the company.
<li> Act as liaison with NBC GOLF departments for events – i.e. production, senior management
<li> Direct internal staff and freelance event staff when necessary.
<li> Work internally with NBC GOLF talent and production department to schedule talent appearances as it relates to commitments to advertisers, community organizations and media interviews on-site at major tournament functions.
<li> Organize and manage visits to NBC GOLF studios for V.I.P.s and dignitaries
<li> Market and direct NBC GOLF talent for corporate appearances at major tournaments and other high-profile events.
<li> Act as host for high-profile show guests when they appear on NBC GOLF.
<li> Manage and facilitate requests for studio tours

Minimum Requirements:
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of the corporate event industry and vendors
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and supervise vendors for event services
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities and deadlines with ease and grace within this fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think and work independently
  • Conscientious, enthusiastic and tactful personality with a positive, friendly, flexible and team-oriented attitude
  • Proficient in Office 365 and all associated software and BaseCamp.
  • Knowledge of the golf industry a plus
  • Ability to travel extensively
