The EHS Coordinator stands for the environmental and health safety coordinator. This person’s responsibilities include assisting in the development of all company safety operations concerning fire, emergency, safety, and environmental programs. The EHS Coordinator is also responsible for understanding and assisting in implementing all safety policies including the federal, state, and local regulations and codes; they generally assist in carrying out various awareness campaigns for promoting the culture of safety. The EHS Coordinator may also carry out routine inspections to check whether all the safety measures are working properly.
  • Inspections:
  • Weekly Hazmat Checklist
  • Monthly Inspection of AEDs/upkeep/tracking and maintenance
  • Monthly Housekeeping Inspection (In Studios & Exterior, third party, etc.)
  • Completed with supervisor
  • Quarterly Inspection
  • Completed with Supervisor
  • Compliance:
  • Ergo Assessments (Exterior & Interior)
  • Field Assessments (HROs, stunts, AWP work, Electrical and Production Safety)
  • Work with Legal and PM&S on liability insurances and contractor safety documents.
  • Prepare Safety Notes for Production
  • Read and file and flag, if appropriate, production reports.
  • Collaborate in Safety Programs such as Production Safety’s IIPP, Drone Safety, SFX on set, etc.
  • Gensuite:
  • Under Incidents & Measurements: Enter First Aid cases, recordable cases, investigations, follow-ups, and closures.
  • Assist in WC cases.
  • Enter hours; on a weekly basis, work hours must be entered for NBCU and EP employees. (Hourly and exempt)
  • Enter events, near misses and inspections.
  • Under ATS: enter findings from inspections or audits.
  • Update SRAs as needed.
  • Update and follow compliance calendar as needed.
  • Training
  • Assist in required trainings for employees raging from;
  • Production Safety
  • Working at heights
  • Electrical Safety
  • Good Practices
  • Hazmat & Hazcom
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Aerial Working Platforms, & others.

  • Assist in coordinating with all of Telemundo Productions, including promotions dept., live shows, third party events, scripted and unscripted;
  • Assist in attending meetings and gather information as needed from production.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions
  • Exhibits working knowledge of health and safety requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines
  • Willingness to travel and on weekends with short notice
  • Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
