Job Description


Cox Media is looking for a results-oriented Sales Services Specialist to process and troubleshoot the fulfillment of advertising orders across our core and digital products for accounts with moderate to high revenue potential. This position is a support role that involves working closely with assigned sales consultants and clients, our Campaign Fulfillment Center (CFC) and other Sales Services staff. 


Reporting to the Manager of Media Sales Services, Specialists partner with sales consultants to increase fulfillment results and revenue generation to fit within the client’s goals and objectives. Position also takes responsibility for troubleshooting and working to solve complex internal and external customer problems and may collaborate with sales consultants to build customer needs analysis data and develop basic proposal schedules for existing clients. Work is time- and error- sensitive within a fast-paced environment that requires meeting multiple daily deadlines to ensure fulfillment operations meet client and company expectations.


Primary Responsibilities
- Applies effective fulfillment techniques in reviewing incoming orders to maximize open inventory, cost per point, ratings, and rate card pricing. Works independently and collaboratively with sales partners to maximize fulfillment potential.
- Accurately submits all advertising orders including digital media, production, and various billing orders using the appropriate fulfillment processes and systems.
- Ensures that approved advertising copy is submitted into the system and corrected if necessary; updates or troubleshoots ad copy and locates previously used spot IDs and copy media, as needed.
- Collaborates with sales consultants to provide follow-up information and post-campaign details to clients.
- Supports the client through direct contact to obtain information or by informing them about schedule changes, responding to questions, solving their schedule-related problems, and handling any other requests by phone or in person.
- Grow the business through up-selling in line with client goals and objectives and previously agreed-upon client solution.
- Proactively schedules and facilitates account strategy and account fulfillment meetings with sales consultant partners to discuss revenue generation and fulfillment improvement opportunities.
- Set-up new client accounts and client billing using appropriate systems.
- Monitors key business reports to gauge the successful fulfillment of client contracts. Initiates and takes action to engage client and sales consultants in modifications, changes, and/or client notifications needed.
- Investigates and resolves credit holds and misapplied payments, along with maintaining records and keeping balance on all trade accounts.

- Investigates pre-empted spots, and applies solutions selling skills with understanding of client buy to submit make-good solutions for approval. Works directly with client or sales consultant for approved solutions and processes make-goods into the system.
- Collaborates with sales consultants to provide fulfillment expertise in the development of client solutions which include advertising campaigns with multiple fulfillment avenues and complicated schedules involving large number of channels that broadcast to multiple geographic areas.
- Effectively develops basic and non-complex schedule proposals in View32 based on product mix, inventory availability, rating information, and rate card information for existing clients.

Qualifications:Minimum
- High school diploma, GED or relevant work experience equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience preferred in related field (e.g., Sales Support, Sales Operations)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent adaptability, relationship building, customer focus, multi-tasking, detail oriented, organization, listening, verbal, written, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams and throughout organization.


Preferred
- Media advertising sales support experience
- Post high school education pertaining to sales, advertising or marketing
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience creating/pulling reports/data from various databases
- Experience in telecommunications industry desired
