FD is opening a costume rental business in LIC, NY. We are looking for a Lead Costume Technician with a knowledge of costume house protocol to organize the stock warehouse into decades and sections of rentable costumes and clothing. A creative individual experienced at overseeing and directing others in stocking racks and maintaining organization. Must be able to identify fabrics, decades and patterns of clothing and assess how clothing translates on camera.
Responsibilities include:
  • Establish organization of warehouse by decade
  • Create style boards of decades and help costume technicians to identify periods of clothing
  • Create a jewelry room and high end Gold Room organized by period
  • Participate in social media postings to alert customers regarding interesting and incoming assets
  • Insure clean and consistent data entry on all assets entering the warehouse
  • Establish data base of photographs to send options to clients
  • Understand client information input and interface with LA to insure timely check in and billing
  • Help clients with budgeting shows understanding the different billing structures for television, commercials and feature films
  • Leverage knowledge of decades and styles of clothing to help data entry crew insure accuracy
  • Analyze and update pricing structures
  • Schedule rentals of fitting rooms and space

    • Excellent customer service, communication and finance skills
