Execute new release and catalog DVD shipping schedule by issuing ship orders to third party distribution and transportation vendors in the US and Canada.Maintain proactive communication throughout the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery.Work with vendors and internal partners to resolve distribution exceptions as they arise.Analyze Universal’s supply chain to find cost reduction opportunities or to add value to the customer.Balance delivery expectations, transportation costs, and inventory availability to ensure customer satisfaction.Process and publish Proof of Delivery (POD) reports to internal customers to ensure that in-stock metrics are met for new release product initial placement.Act as one of the primary day-to-day business liaison between Universal Studios Home Entertainment and 3rd party distribution and transportation vendors.Prepare executive reports that provide analysis to aide in the decision-making process. Interface with internal departments such as Retail Operations, Customer Service, Production Planning, Master Data, and Materials Management to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.Produce Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports to track and benchmark operational metrics such as expedited freight spending recaps and order processing backlog reports.Seek to grow professionally through continued training and interactions with others.
The primary function of this position is to facilitate the on-time shipment and delivery of DVD and Blu-ray product to retail customers.
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in order management/logistics working with shipping/transportation vendors required.
2+ years of experience providing data analysis, working in teams and developing professional relationships internally and externally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, specifically Excel.

APICS certification a plus

2+ years of home entertainment and/or logistics / distribution experience preferred
Must be detailed oriented, manage time well, and can multi task successfully.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
Ability to critically think, understand data, extract insight and take action to resolve exceptions.
