Prepares and monitors a production plan including the project timeframe and proposed minutes to be shot and aired per weekCoordinates and makes decisions along with the Executive Producer on the selection and negotiation of exterior locations to be used during the productionCoordinates with the Operations Department to ensure that all equipment is ready for use according to the production needsResponsible for controlling budget for the proposed projectActs as a liaison between the different departments and the productionInforms supervisor as to items that need to be pre-produced (i.e. music, action events)Ensures the editors are keeping pace with the scheduled release dateResponsible for visualizing, and overseeing the taped material in order to ensure sequence in the scripts Reviews dailies and rough cutsMonitors continuity of advertising products placed in the production by informing the writer as to what scenes need to be accommodated for the advertising product to appear, keeping the editors updated on what names need to appear in the ending credits, and coordinating with appropriate Sales Representative as the desired visual look and appearance of the advertising productReviews final product after it is edited checking its quality and final timeEnsures all minutes produced are aired in accordance to information provided by the Script Supervisor Responsible for completing any other duties as assigned by supervisor
The Telemundo Global Studios Producer Fellowship Program is designed to provide participants with real world experience and exposure to one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies! This role is a 18-month long staff position that emphasizes hands-on production experience. Aspiring producers with diverse backgrounds hone production and business skills, work on current productions, and participate in the production lifecycle process. These positions will build production experience as well as business acumen, through on-the-job experience, structured training, pathfinder/job shadowing, mentorship and networking opportunities will help you jump start your career.
The fellowship participant duties:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the production of dramatic, scripted production
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Communication, or Production
• Master’s degree with Finance emphasis or MBA preferred
• Willingness to travel: travel to productions and location in US, Colombia, Mexico required.
• Other certifications preferred but not required
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions
• Willingness to travel and on weekends with short notice
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
