As a peer-review ranking firm, Best Lawyers cultivates content alongside thought leaders in the legal industry. We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our New York office. The ideal candidate has experience in both print and digital media and is someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas. The Graphic Designer will be able to hit the ground running and understand how cohesive content campaigns work. Applicants with experience in photo retouching will be given prime consideration.   • Work simultaneously on 5+ projects based on current workload, report to Senior Content and Design Managers
  • Create editorial layouts, visual aspects of marketing materials, web and social content, and other imagery, including infographics and promo videos
  • Compile disparate elements of a design, such as the icons, typography, photographs, and other components necessary to achieve consistent branding
  • Design and layout attorney profile and display advertisements; retouch photos and vectorize logos
  • Work closely with Production and Editorial teams to address priority projects, deadlines, and style guide standards
  • Maintain an organized work flow regarding proprietary deliverables such as ranking badges and logos for firms and their lawyers


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and InCopy
  • 3+ years in professional commercial design, preferably with an editorial discipline
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript, video production, and general social media standards a plus
  • Must know Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Must be comfortable working in a Windows PC environment
  • Strong aptitude for data visualization
  • Experience working with and adhering to project management software
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
