The SSP is primarily responsible for overall sales support to the sales staff, which includes developing sales plans and packages for clients, administering existing deals, coordinating pending deals and facilitating the sales process by providing solutions that meet the needs of the network, clients, and sales staff.
  • Prepare and revise Upfront and Scatter sales plans that maximize the use of inventory while fulfilling agency/client requirements
  • Liaise with Sales, Pricing & Planning and Traffic to ensure sold schedules run as ordered, including all media elements
  • Deal Maintenance: work closely with Sales and Traffic to manage all preemptions and programming changes, make recommendations on schedules according to availability and generate flow charts to reflect all changes, cancellation option and expansion options
  • Stewardship: maintain client schedules to ensure delivery of buy, monitor/build/schedule ADU packages as needed, work with assistant and traffic to manage preemptions, reaffirm quarterly estimates and create account posts
  • Cashbacks and refunds: confirm dollar amounts, that all invoices have been paid, prepare AFP for processing, code invoices in SNAP, send check to the client, confirm cashback tracker is updated
  • Account Servicing: work closely and communicate directly with appropriate agency/client counter-parts as needed to ensure excellent service at all times. Serves as back up to account executive while out of office
  • Generate, track and distribute assigned sales reports, as specified by Management
  • Prepare deal memos, enter deals into Dealmaker and handle all ongoing internal deal maintenance
  • Work closely with sales assistant to help delegate responsibilities and train in the sales process
  • Assist account executives on developing sales strategies and preparing presentations
  • Assist account executives with smaller scatter buys


  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 2 years Ad Sales planning experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
    • Strong knowledge of media math and audience metrics
