The UCLA Technology Development Group serves as a campus-wide gateway to Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship. Our mission is to promote UCLA innovation, research, teaching and entrepreneurship to benefit society; create economic value to support UCLAís scholarly and educational missions and the State of California; and lead UCLA's research community to bring innovation to market.

 

TDG seeks a self-starter, motivated, and outgoing individual to serve as the TDG Outreach Liaison. Under the general supervision of the CFO/COO, the Outreach Liaison is responsible for working with management across lines of service to determine event schedules and goals, as well as ensuring that TDG's physical and online presence maximizes lead generation opportunities, thought leadership, and branding.

 

There are three (3) primary areas of responsibility of the Outreach Liaison:

 

1) Faculty and Industry outreach and relationship development

2) Event management

3) Website and brand management

 

The Outreach Liaison is responsible for organizing, planning and implementing TDG marketing outreach efforts and special projects, with an emphasis on faculty, staff and industry professionals to meet departmental goals and expectations.

 

Job Requirements

 

-At least five (5) years full-time professional experience in marketing, product management, business development, communications, or corporate relations.

 

-At least three (3) years full-time professional experience managing events.

 

-Experience with website strategy and maintenance

 

-Experience with social media strategy and execution for a professional entity.

 

-Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and employ diplomacy and tact to deliver difficult messages.

 

-Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment to follow through on assignments with minimal direction and to independently prioritize work.
